FIREBIRD is an indie animated shortfilm that mixes paleoart and classical music in a tale about the cycles of life. Set in late Cretaceous Patagonia and scored by Stravinski's namesake suite, the story follows a dinosaur who, faced with the arrival of a new era, must decide between accepting its end or adapting to the upcoming changes... Behind The Scenes
Lusotitan: Bringing One of the BIGGEST Dinosaurs Back to Life
The BBC’s Walking With Dinosaurs team brought many dinosaurs to life across the series - but perhaps the largest challenge was one of the biggest dinosaurs to ever be found in Europe… Lusotitan. Join the team behind the scenes as they weave cutting edge science, expert VFX, and a very experienced crew pointing their cameras at… nothing. But not everything is as it seems because the team are actually filming shots which (when they are later added) will see dinosaurs dance across the screen. All of this comes together to breathe life into these ancient behemoths and bring their stories to the screen.

Kostensuchus atrox
After a long wait, the new crocodyliform discovered in the Chorrillo Formation, about 30 km southeast of the city of El Calafate, has finally been published.
Kostensuchus atrox is a new taxon that joins the family of Peirosaurids, a group of notosuchian crocodyliforms. It is a distant relative of the “Boar Crocodile” (Kaprosuchus).
The material corresponds mainly to the animal’s anterior region, with a very well-preserved and articulated skull, along with cervical and dorsal vertebrae, its pectoral and pelvic girdles, and both humeri.
"I want to thank @poldiego and @fernando.novas.5 for trusting me with this work and for all the valuable feedback that led to the result you see in the animation.
Congratulations to the whole team, and welcome Kostensuchus atrox!"

World Frozen In Time
"I think I was inspired by a documentary I saw years ago. Walking with Dinosaurs maybe ? It was about how, during prehistory, Antarctica was covered with forests that were lush during the summer and completely froze during the winter ! I found it amazing to imagine that. The dinosaurs that lived there were striped for camouflage in summer and had a beak to break the ice in winter (I don't know if that's true but that is what I like to imagine)."
