Samueru

Samuele Consolo (art name Samueru) is a ’98 freelance illustrator from Catanzaro, Italy. After attending art high school, he graduated in Illustration and Graphic-Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro and in 2023-2024 worked as a steward for the city’s provincial museums. He has a lifelong fascination with animals and extinct creatures shaped by influences like his childhood hero Steve Irwin, Jurassic Park, and The Land Before Time. He developed over time new interest like music, pop culture, videogames, manga, anime, history and the many niche Internet aesthetics. The online boom of paleoart and the recent paleontological discoveries reignited his passion, leading him to create artworks blending scientific accuracy, digital techniques, and an artstyle reminiscent of traditional media. He regularly participates in the Italian Paleoart Prize by the Paleontological Museum of Montevarchi since the 2nd edition and has joined the paleoart contests of the Paleontological Virtual Congress (4th and 5th editions) and EJIP–IMERP in 2023. His works are also featured in some issues of the Prehistoric Times Magazine. He also supports with his art the hard working modding team “Cursed Phases” for the game Path of Titans.
