My name is Jordan Millet, a French artist with a degree in illustration and concept art, and a passionate paleontology enthusiast since childhood. It was by combining these two worlds that I naturally turned to paleoart. I work mainly in Procreate, but I almost always start with a traditional sketch in a notebook. I also regularly return to traditional media for complete illustrations, graphite pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, or mixed media depending on the mood. As for subjects, I don't have a preferred era: the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic... each is so different from the others that you could compare them to distinct planets, and it's that diversity that fascinates me. Self-taught in paleontology, I keep learning continuously through scientific publications and exchanges within the community. My long-term goal is to collaborate with paleontologists, museums, and institutions to ground my work even more firmly in current research, but also to help French paleoart shine and give it the place it deserves on the international stage.

In the heart of a tropical wetland of the Late Cretaceous, a massive Simosuchus rests on the shore while a Beelzebufo, the famous 'devil frog', silently watches its surroundings from the shallow waters. Long before the dinosaurs, Dimetrodon dominated the terrestrial ecosystems of the Permian. This imposing synapsid, often mistakenly thought of as a reptile, is actually much closer to us on the tree of life than any dinosaur. This illustration depicts it at the edge of a stream, its large dorsal sail in orange hues catching the warmth of the morning sun. Below the water's surface, primitive fish move through a world just as fascinating.

Resting on the sandy bottom of a shallow Permian stream, a magnificent Diplocaulus blends into its surroundings thanks to its mottled camouflage. Seen from a semi-aquatic viewpoint, the scene immerses the viewer in a world nearly 270 million years old, long before the appearance of dinosaurs. Its remarkable boomerang-shaped skull, one of the most distinctive anatomical features in the history of life, dominates the composition while schools of fish glide peacefully in the water above. Surrounded by giant horsetails, primitive ferns, and lush aquatic vegetation, the Diplocaulus waits patiently, perfectly adapted to its habitat.

A dive into the heart of the Late Devonian, around 370 million years ago, when Dunkleosteus terrelli reigned supreme over the oceans. This colossal placoderm, its head and thorax protected by articulated bony armor, had no true teeth: its jaws, formed of sharp, self-sharpening plates, could shear through almost anything in their path. The scene catches it exploring a reef carpeted with crinoids (sea lilies), sponges, and ammonites, while a jellyfish drifts silently in the diffuse light and another predator looms in the distance. A meticulously crafted paleoart reconstruction, faithful to the latest scientific knowledge, inviting viewers to rediscover the unsuspected richness of these primordial marine ecosystems.

For the release of the Jurassic World Rebirth DLC, my Instagram followers asked me to create fan art of certain scenes from the film. For this challenge, I chose to depict what I consider the most beautiful scene in the film: the Titanosaur scene, which stirs deep emotion. This fan art was created on Procreate.
